And what about timba, with his mpc 3000. Nowadays he is more into (sampling) keyboard workstations, but I know he used this oldy for a few things on the 4minutes for madonna.

W2D was 3000 & live Inst., Jaylib beats were 3000 & PT's, Que D Limited Edition was MPC 2000, 1st. SV was MPC2000, 2nd SV was 3000, Ruff Draft was 3000 & PT's

Dilla used SP1200, S950, MPC 2000, MPC60, MPC3000. When the MPC 2000 came out he used that for alittle bit and then switched in '99-'00 & he went to the 3000 and never looked back. His old 2000 was given to Waajeed and that's how Waajeed started making beats.

The majority of cats whose music I like to listen to, don't even use 15+ yr old gear. Most rock a MPC 2k or newer.

i was hatin hard...

He has never used a SP to make his beats on or any album.

while im not an expert on what he does and doesnt use on his albums, ive seen him mention the 3k and sp12 as his tools, and double k supposedly uses the 2kxl and the sp1200... at the show i was at he was rockin live drums for a minute on the sp12, it was giving him a bit of hassle and he said since this is the last show on tour he threw that schit to the floor...

real talk -fobedafied-
all their goofy ol skool soundin cuts are straight sp-12 stock drums.
i can hear it every time i turn on my Turbo!
its a shame he had ta smash it...
but a good sacrifice nonetheless.

diLLa is Gawd!
Thes is tha new 3k King!

...Mac Dre anybody (r.i.p)?
