OS 2.02 is good enough ?

could you tell me
what's the big difference between the os 2 and 3 ?
(only in the sequencing part of the 60, not sampling or prog part)

because i have an ASQ10 running a prehistoric 1.x
and can get a 2.02 for a cheap price...

You won't be able to sample and then assign it to a pad and then sample something else and then try to assign that to a pad cause it will delete the first sound you sampled. You won't be able to get Marion SCSI either if you ever want it. You won't be able to set your pads to Note Off, Mono, or Poly. There is so many things to list it's not even funny.

is there a way to load higher OS's just on a floppy?

No you can't boot up a OS to a floppy and load it!

so the mpc has to be opened up and a chip put in to upgrade O.S's?

how much were you going to pay for the upgrade?
i had some extra 2.02 chips i was thinking of putting on ebay but id be willing to sell them for cheap if you need them.

Do you have higher Os's on chips too?

or just 2.02 (which I already have)
