Auction on ebay, is this for real?

Whut up everybody, I know about the Marion upgrade for the 60
I never got it, I dont have the latest os.
I just been using the floppy drive, so far no problems since I only use it for drums and roughly 11 seconds is fine for that.

However, this guy on ebay is selling a zip drive, he's saying it works in the 3000 or the 60 and comes with instructions for installation.

The 60 doesn't have SCSI as standard. That means you'll need the Marion SCSI upgrade before you can start connecting SCSI zip drives to it. Think about it.

If you still don't get it - your question is the same as asking "my computer doesn't have a USB port, if I buy a USB zip drive is that the equivalent of installing a USB port on my computer?"

I think Roger Linn is your only option unless you go with Route66 but I've heard numerous complaints about them concerning their shipping, stocking, and communication issues.

Do a search of the forum, there should be some in depth discussions and info about storage options for the 60/3000.

Sometimes you can cop the SCSI kit off craigslist and ebay too.

I asked if the auction sounded like a scam, (ie some guy just selling a zip drive and advertising that it comes with EVERYTHING that is needed to install it in the mpc 60; Which isn't true)
