Well I just bought a MPC 3000. I'm having a problem hearing anything throught my MPC using my headphones. I also have a ASR-10 and I'm having the same exact problem. Granted I just have the headphones and the MPC nothing else. Now am I missing something or what.

My headphones size I don't know exactly, but they fit into my 80g Ipod and work fine. I using the bigger adapter to put in to my MPC and ASR,but still nothing. So then I used the same headphone setup on my Tascam interface and they work fine. I don't know what to do or what the problem is. I just have the equipment and the headphones. What's good? Am I miss something?

Do you hear anything at all? I.E. Does it crackle and pop at all when you plug it in and do you hear any intermittant audio?

Yeah, I just can't hear nothing coming from my ASR or MPC. This is my first time having hardware. So maybe I'm missing a valuable component. Do I have to have a mixer/amp to recieve any feedback from my headphones. See my homie has a MPC1000( I have a 3000) and his phone jack works just fine without anythang. Plus it's much smaller(The MPC that is). So I'm stuck. I would love to get started, but you see my first obstucle that I HAVE to get around

That makes no sense. Do you have samples loaded into the MPC and/or ASR? Your headphones work, because you said you use them with your ipod, and then you said they work with your TASCAM interface as well... I assume the interface has a 1/4 adaptor needed, and it still works, so it's not the adaptor (let us know if the interface has a 1/8 jack). Now, the chances of both your MPC and your ASR losing the headphone output capabilities at the same time is very slim. I really think you must not have samples loaded up (does the ASR load them automatically? I don't know, I don't have one). try running the outputs of either the MPC or the ASR to the inputs on your interface, and then attatch the headphones to the interface and see what happens.
