What's up everyone,
So I've wanted a 3000 for ever and today I finally pulled the trigger. I bought one from Guitar Center and while I got a good price (849.99) I have a few concerns.
The 3000 is being shipped from Naperville IL.. It has OS 3.0 which means that it is oooolld right? So my questions are what are my options for upgrading the OS? I can't swing Rohan's 3.5 just yet (but I'm saving my pennies) and from what I searched and read booting a newer OS from floppy can compromise some things. Can I still find ROM chips for a newer OS for sale and if so how expensive are they. Also, are the 3.10 chips for sale from Roger Linn's site for the 60 the same aswhat would go in a 3000? And with being an older old machine, what things should I look for that might indicate my 3000 could be a money pit waiting to happen? Thanks for any feedback. I'm really excited to get my hands on it. Peace
