Well guys I decided to check out coldtechnician's story on Route 66 since I have heard alot of smack from you illits. I called Andy the shipping MGR at Route 66 and surprise surprise, it seems that coldtechnician left out a vary important nugget. He never paid the shipping costs to Canada and for some reason decide to not respond to any of the emails reminding him of the shipping costs due on the drive he purchased BACK IN SEPT OF 2007!!!!!. coldtechnician YOUR AN IDIOT, Maybe you figured that Route 66 would just give in and ship your drive without you paying the shipping..now who's the con man!
And fobedafied I remember you, your the dumdass that tried to pass on bad info on this site that ver 3.10 is not compatible with certain floppy drives. I checked with Bruce at Forat and Richard at Route 66 about this and it's bullshit. You can't read and that's why you installed your drive wrong, not to mention you look like the bastard son of Bob Dylan, you should call your self fobobafied.
DJ ALX let me guess you can't read either and tried to use HD discs, I remember your thread, here's one for you READ YOUR MANUAL or try to read this reply to your rant. "Guys the Route66 drive works just fine if your using the correct floppy discs, read your manual!!! the MPC60 is a DSDD 720K unit, this means the MPC60 has a DSDD 720k FDC controller CHIP SET on the main board and is only setup for DSDD 720K discs. Now in the past you could get away with the HD discs with the 10yr old original drive because it was also made 10yrs ago, these older drives do a poor job of media detection and allow the HD discs to pass. Any NEW 2000 to the current 2007 drives are vary good at media detection and only allow disc media that matches the FDC controller CHIP SET in the MPC60. I hope this clears up any confusion and if anyone has ANY question about floppy drives and the MPC just ask me" Andyo
Kun I hear your story but did you ever call them and verify your order? did you ever raise even a finger to find out what happened? Did you ever think there was a hang-up in say customs or maybe duty tax was never paid by you? Route 66 is like the only company that lists their phone number on every page on the web site. They were the first company to MFG a replacement floppy drive for the MPC, they have been in biz for about 10 years and have sold drives to tons of MPC user's without any problems....and did any of you dipshits ever think for even one min the owner of Route 66 'Richard" might be friends with Bruce at Forat? I know for a fact they are....guy's don't talk shit when your mouth is full of it. It's uneducated ****'s like you guys that give good company's that STILL support our aging product and bad name.
Why is it that a Girl like me can have no problems at all with both of my MPC's one running a Forat drive and one running a Route 66 drive but you clowns can't even seem to read a manual, a web site or even dial an phone.
