My s950 says 512 kwords installed. I need to know what is 512 kwords? The specs say they come 750kb of memory, is this the same thing? can this things memory still be maxed out and i so where do I get the memory?

you have stock memory, which is 750kb but shows in the s950 as 512Kwords... you can upgrade to either 1024Kwords with one memory expansion board or 1536Kwords with 2 memory expansion boards... 750kb of memory translates to 512 kwords in the s950 since it is 12bit... so the s950 fully maxed out memory of 2.25Mbs with 2 expansion boards, will show 1536Kwords installed upon bootup...

i got an sh-204 and an s900 with the ib-105 AND the marion systems 16bit expansion board which lets you toggle between 12 and 16 bit... ive also got the atari STf system that goes with the sh204 hd... my aim is to eventually get the s900 and the atari STf up and running with cubase or some other sequencer program and try to sell em all as a package... i havent been able to locate any of the sequencer software or any music stuff for the atari at all really, havent had the time to really focus on it either... :?

Hey, what drive is that? I've never seen a racked supra drive, though I never really worked with an Atari that much (it was like a decade ago). I didn't think *anyone* was using the IB-105 card(!). I have a IB-109 (SCSI) with zip but I was very lucky to acquire that.

I got an sh-204 and an s900 with the ib-105

I'm a little confused about that. The S900 used the IB-101A for Atari and IB-101S for Atari Supra drives. I didn't think there was compatibility between the IB-105 and the S900. Do you really have the IB-105 card in the S900?

just checked and you are right and i am mistaken... the hd interface card for the s900 i have installed is indeed the ib-101/s and not the ib-105... thanks for clearing that up for me, its been awhile wince i even looked at thing...

i really need to get on the ball and set my equipment up soon... :?
