mcd card reader

im here from the 2000/2000xl forum.i coped a scsi to ide converter for a internal hard drive for my xl.i was wondering has anyone tried these converters for the 60 or 3000 to install a akai mcd card reader, instead of searching for those hard to find microtec scsi readers?
