Most definitely....I will either have it shipped over here (Bay area) or pick it up later this week when I fly back there.

Man that's funny that you were the next bidder....

The only thing scary is it said has some rust spots.
That's typical on the old 60 mkI but i don't think I've ever come across that on a 3k.
Just hope it's not a unit that had some type of moisture incident.
At $405 if it's just cosmetic then it's cool.

send it to forat and have him customize and refurbish it.

Not if it saw flood damage, that what I was referring to since 3k's are prone to rust spots.

We'll see. Maybe I'll invest in thaT Squaretrade Warranty for it, I think that would cover the Forat bill, if it needs it?

Yeah the rust was definitely worrisome. I hope it turns out ok, just decided to risk it since I have no MPC at all right now.

That may be true...It just happened that I was flute shopping at the same time and I decided, I could just put that 400$ towards a better flute. I would still love a 3k...But I have no regret and this flute (1968 haynes commercial) sounds great....Much better than any of the newer (cheaper) models I tried.
