Use Wave Files with MPC3000..

hey guys, whats the main reason that the 3000's are not running with wave files? would it be possible to use wav files with a complete new OS or is it a hardware issue??? thanx alot..

There are no OS's compatible with WAV files fot the 3K.

If you must use WAV's, convert with MPCeditor, or MPCpgmaker if your using MAC.

I don't know 'why' they're not compatible.

thx paul, i know there is no OS for the 3000 compatible with wav's right now but my question was where the problem lies.. if its just a matter of programming a new OS or if despite a complete new OS it wouldn't be possible because of a hardware complication...

Whatsup with those converters?? why sould someone convert Wav to Snd... u mean.. ur making up Zip disks from ur computer while my sorry ass still samples everything raw from my 1/4 jacks?????

Yes. There are programs that run on both MAC & Windows computers and they are MPCpgmaker and MPCeditor respectfully. They cost about $20 USD each, and I own both of them, and highly recommend them if your into that sort of thing
MPCeditor has an added feature that allows importing of AKP. files which IMHO is très cool.

Vailixi 3.50 is the best thing to happen to MPC3000 users EVER. During a recent conversation w/another registered Vailixi user, we agreed that if we got bare bones 3K's, before zip drives and card readers, before bouncy pads and boost mods and paint jobs, even before memory, Vailixi 3.50 would be the first thing on the list.
If you love your MPC3000 the way I do, I can promise you it will be the best $199.00 you ever spend.
