Man i have been dreaming about the os update since i got my mpc 60II and realized it was missing mono/poly/note off and also the ability to have one pad mute another pads sound. Dope. I am so juiced i can hardly wait. anyways, cheers!

i dunno how people can use the old Version 2 OS of the 60. That shit is too irritating to me.

but congrats on the new purchase. Now go make some beats.

Yea i just got it 2 weeks ago and its like having a new machine but its my mpc60!

Now im in for getting a ram expansion but dont know whats the better place to shop it from.

I just received the AKAI MFC42 for filtering my samples as i sample them.

I run my BDs SNs and HHs through a TL Audio Ivory 5051 tube pre/eq/cmp too.

The resaults are astonishing. Analog wormth sampled on my 60!!!

The copy/paste functions will be DOPE. I have to resample everything for each pad. Now i can sample a break 1 time and then cut and paste 1st kick 2nd kick hi hat snare etc etc. Im juiced. but roger linn was at NAMM so my order is delayed a bit. Im patiently waiting

I would recommend getting it from Forat. I think it was $135, arrived very quickly, and when you buy something from that guy, you know it's legit.

I got my os upgrade in the mail today. After installing the ROM Chips i was checking out my memory chips because the ram has been intermittently going back between half ram and full ram(1.5mb). After peeling back a large sqaure of some sort of electrical tape/insluation stuff, i realized that someone did the memory hack on my beloved mpc 60 mkII! UGGGGHH. now im going to have to desolder all the ram chips and fix it to stock, then get the ram expansion. WEAK SAUCE!

but anyways my mpc works fine besides fluxuating ram size. It will read 720kb and 1.5mb depending on luck of the draw when i turn it on. 3.10e os is dope though as expected, but i have its like i have to learn the machine all over again. The menus are way different than my old 2.12 os...

Yeah, bummer on the hack job. Had to undo that in my 60II as well. You're going to want to choke the cheap bastard who installed it. Good luck. 3.10 rocks!!

Yeah man 3.10 is a whole new machine. Im gonna stay up way to late f*cking with it tonight. My hackjob has all the ram chips dobled up and a couple wires jumping pins to other pins. I guess i can just desolder the chips on top and then get the expansion. hopefully i dont have to desolder all the chips and remove them and resolder them back in.

I saw a better hack job how to which was way better. You desoldered the original chips and installed some new IC sockets for new bigger ram chips.

But just say no to hack jobs on ram chips!
