I just ran the trial version 2 or 3 times so I can´t really remember all the flaws... some of the samples I had assaigned to a program somehow had disappeared when opened on the mpc 3000. So I had to reload them and reassaign them...

It also added a suffix after renaming that I think made loading somehow difficult. Like I said I can´t rember this one that well. I´ve heard that the adding of the suffix and messing with loading might also have to do with the OS from Mac....

I´m running it on a Imac and 10.4? and 3.5 on the mpc. A friend of mine has it running on an older Os as well as 3.5 and really loves it.

It´s a free download so check it out. For switching wav to snd it´s great.

Not here.

I'm using it with the 3K and with the 60.

I have yet to run into this problem with my 3K running 3.50, and I'm also on 10.4

That would be the 8.3 issue, which should not make it "more difficult" to load as it's there to counter human error. This is from the help menu inside the app:

About File Naming

When you transfer files between "Mac" and "MPC", all of the file's name must be less than 8 + 3(extension) character length. You can rename multiple files at once with MpcPgmMaker(➟Renaming File & Folder), but if you want to keep the original filename, use "Auto Rename" function.

How "Auto Rename" works :

(1) If the filename contains "white spaces", it will be taken out.
(Ex. "Dog and His Bone.wav" → "DogandHisBone.wav")

(2) If the filename has more than 8 character, cut off after 5th character then put "~01".
(Ex. "DogandHisBone.wav" → "Dogan~01.wav")

(3) If the renamed name already exists, increase the appended number.
(Ex. "Dogan~01.wav" → "Dogan~02.wav")

This is the first time I've heard about that.

I bought my copy when I was on 10.3 , then re-installed it when I moved up to 10.4 ( ppc )

Since then I have installed it on my Intel MAC running 10.4 , and have never had a single issue with the registration.

The program works flawlessly for me, and I can't reccomend it enough.

Deck I see that your a mac user so I'll ask you. What zip drive are you using for your mac and is it usb? I bought a 3k off of ebay and while I'm waiting for it to arrive I'm trying to get a hold of everything I need for it. Thanks.

You´ll need a scsi zip internal or external for the MPC and I use a Iomega 250 USB Zip it can read and write 100mb zips. They shouldn´t be to hard to get and sometimes the seller can through in a bunch of zips so you can get started...

yeah, already been thinking bout that. It's between the card reader and 3.5. I'm working w/ limited funds and I already found a zip drive for 35.00 so I'm gonna wait on the card reader since I don't have the savy to install it myself and avoid paying for the install and just copp 3.50.

I'm using floppies and an USB-drive. I want a card reader but it's not too easy to find them cheap.
