Recording issue.

I am trying to record a break from my computer to my mpc60 , i am using a mackie vlz mixer using the alt out routing the computer out channel to my mpc60 record in. I usually record with the record level switch on low , which is all the way to the right when looking at the back of the unit. When i monitor only the main mix on my mixer so i can monitor what is actually coming out the mpc is sounds like trash. Very bitcrushed... and the sample what ever it is usually comes out shitty. I can get 808's sampled pretty good but other ones just sound like shit.

any ideas or help would be appreciated.

never mind this topic. I was trying to sample a stereo sample using a tip and ring cord to the mono input on the mpc.. Which was causing aliasing.



I still would like to know though , were is your gain switch set when you sample?
