My coming out about my prehistoric method, i want help

Okay if u want to redirect me, do so... im just tired of scrolling down and ive been on this site for only something like a year...

I have an mpc 3k... and im not a technical head... i just happen to focus a lot on drums and things that sound like a whole... u know...

before i even had a 3k at home *my friend has one... and thats how i started* i used to do stuff on computer... I would sample everything into wav files and stack it... and i used to tweak stuff into fl studio (late fruity loops lol) and reason... and basically use anything that could help me vary my array of sounds...

When i affored my ass a 3k... i started pluggin my computer Headphone jacks out to my mixer, my mixer to the 3k' (I KNOW ITS STUPID).. i didnt have money... then i went like Computer straight to 3k.. and to export my beats.. 3k out to computer mic 1/8 in ... aweful.. but yeah...

Now ive bought an Mbox... All i wanna know is how can i get the most effiscient... clean, fat sound jumping from the comp to the mpc and vice versa..

another question would be about how to make my mpc a midi pad in Fl, in reason and in Pro tools, but thats another thread isnt it???

I know this model is THE fattest to me cuz ive seen and messed around with all of them... ive been able to produce some stuff i kinda love with it and im really serious about my love for beatmakin... i produced on some local rap projects and coproduced for tv ads, stuff like that... with the most shameful setup ever.. im tired of this... and i want help ... i just dont want yall to go like '' read on midi man ur a noob''(and i know midi is NOt audio lol)... ive tried that and it didnt help.. tweakheadz is dope but i want concrete advice...

if you have a digital out on the MBox use that to go into the 3K...otherwise, rethink the way you're making beats right now. I used to do the same thing as you and wondered why I didn't get the sound I wanted. Now I go from turntable to the 3K direct and that's the way you should do it. I also think you should get a record of breaks for drums and maybe the exception is that you send drums from your comp to the 3K

once you get used to this it'll make more sense and your beats will get better.

i sample from vinyl too.. im a pretty serious crate digger.. but some drum textures are just impossible to find on vinyl

yo ill tell you the quickest cheapest way i have found if you have a ipod nano! get a imic and straight plug in and record like 24 bucks until i find a roland vs for cheap....great quality too!
