Hello again fellow musicians,

I'm having a little trouble transferring sounds from my PC to the MPC3000 via the midicase.com mpc editor. When i put the floppy in my mpc and try to load the program and/or snd's i made with the software, i get an error that reads something like can't find file on disk, even though i can browse through the disk and see that there are files on it. I also noticed that their names appear strange with a lot of * signs. I tried several times but i always get the error. Any ideas? could this be because i am using an external usb floppy drive? i know of software for the s3000 sampler that doesn't like external drives.

Thnx

1. Make sure all files are less than 8 characters.

2. "*" is a bad symbol. If you see that next to a file, don't bother loading it.

3. Your previous posts indicate that your running OS 3.03...UPGRADE!!!

Many people on this forum are using MPCEditor sans problems.

I run this on VirtualPC on a mac and have no problems loading files in my MPC60/3000.

Before I had my CF Readers ( SPYRUS MCDISK ( works with all ur gear )) , I did it with USB Zip/USB Floppy Drives.

I noticed Rohan talked about a different problem with MPCEditor in this thread:

I'll check that the filenames are less then 8 chars, and my OS 3.5 upgrade will be here in a day or two, 8)

THANX!!!
