Near to buy a MPC 60 with 2.0 Version Update...what should i checked out
before i buy this mpc?

2.0 is not really an update now.

check the buttons, make sure they register, check the backlight, make sure it is fairly bright, check the pads, the slider, THE FLOPPY DRIVE!!!!

See if it has the memory upgrade, sample time should be 26.2 seconds, if it is 13.1 secs, it doesn't have it and it will cost you more.

if there is anything wrong with these, knock some good loot off the price, say, about 100 off for the backlight, the buttons can be an issue but if you can press them a bit harder and they register you should be good.

Knock another $150-$200 off if the floppy isn't working,

If all is working well, anything around 600 is pretty fair, if it is a mark I (with the armrest ) in good physical condition, around 800 can be asked as well. You can get these prices with the 3.10 OS, without it the price should be about 4 to 500.

If the memory is maxed out and it is in stellar condition, and the backlight is bright, go for it.

If it doesn't have the memory installed and the backlight is dim, talk him down, see if you can get it for like 400-450.

if it is beat to hell and scratched up, 400 tops.

if it is a mark 1 this is a good deal. But you will probably want the upgrades,

Memory $150 (if it doesn't have it already)

Version 3.10 and scsi $400 or so.

You can use it with 2.0 just fine, but the upgrades (3.10 &scsi) make it virtually a 3000 and are well worth the cash, you'll thank me later. ;)

Hhmmm.. only 400, he? I just bought one (mk1, good condition, except for the whining), without SCSI, without extra memory and OS 2.12 installed. Paid 750 euro for it!? It seems like im been ripped off.. though it was the cheapest one I could find in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and France..

And remenber, 400 USD is like 325 euro..

Well, you didn't get ripped off, I actually paid more!!!!

But mine is in dope condition. Here in the US the 3.10 ones go for about 600-800, but it is best to get the best price. If it is real beat up you can negotiate, but the price you should pay is what you and the seller are comfortable with. If you want one bad and this one gives you the right vibe, go with it. Ripped off is in the eye of the beholder. I paid a good amount for mine but I have never felt ripped off, and that is what is important.

oh in mint condition I've seen people ask for 900-1000 with 3.10 os but no scsi

Sometimes, it is really a toss up, but the MK I has more $$ put into the case design and materials. I'd always go for a MK I.
