Godamn that piece of ultra thick aluminium! First I had the screen. Fixed it after I almost had to remanufacture the whole circuit board by myself. Now it's the floppy drive.
I've already switched 3 different TEAC FD drives. None is working. Bought a new one from VST for 93$ (still hating myself on this). I installed it, it booted up fine, used a floppy from a friend, hit the DISK screen and it read the floppy fine. I navigated through the files nice and smooth and then tried to load up a .pgm. No luck as you would guess. That think kept on saying that there must be a faulty drive and I should restart the machine. I restarted and on the next try it destroyed the floppy. I then tried to format another floppy but no luck. It starts the process and then it says that the drive is again faulty. Wtf?!
This whole think is killing me. I've had my 60 for 2 months and still not able to use it. Oh man, I'm devastated on this...
