I couldn't make time for this one, got other stuff going on.
Also only just realised that this battle was only for a week.
This is a fortnightly battle as MPC-tutor has said before, unless he has changed his mind?

^ Still pretty good turnout though isnt it? people must be itching to make beats. Looking forward to listening to these when i get back from work

think the battle duration should be at the creators discretion 1 or 2 weeks is fine mixes it up a bit *just noticed it states they're fortnightly on the SC page so yeah its best that tutor clears that up or we take a vote

Sova Animal.

Not the most original beat but I voted for Sova because his track made me smile the most. Just a happy track I guess.

ES-K's beat was really, really good but the rapping spoiled it for me. I would have voted twice for the instrumental version!

shout outs to ODK and ChrisPerrin, since i'm only one guy and i can't vote for every beat i was feeling...but yeah, Tre Cipher killed it imo this week. took that beat to county lock-up and smothered it with a pillow.

Yea, I shortened this one by about week...not sure if I was supposed to do that, but sorry if that screwed things up for some of y'all. Looks like we still got a good turnout though.

Es-K sounds the most professional, nice mixdown...classy, tasteful...good technique, the bit reduction/decimator works well, samples are nicely blended.
he may get my vote, however...

Sova Animal has a cool throwback feel.
Scumbeats is just out there, and experimental, which I like a lot
Obi Dan's is nice
Tepaphone is nice
I really like Don Blake's style too, it reminds me of something....maybe 1st Raekown LP, or 1st Ghostface LP?

That Van Halen 1984 sample sound ridiculous when it's all scratched up, but I'm no turntablist...guess no one else owns the record?

Anyway,
If you dont get any votes, it doesn't mean your sh-t ain't hot. Just means there's no 2nd place. Sometimes I want to throw the underdog a vote, but if I truly feel someone else did a better job...I gotta go for them. But sometimes the underdog is more exciting/interesting, even though their beat may not be as well crafted... Overall, the creative energy is great. The competition is great.

all though i brought my studio with me on this trip it kept crashing on me. hope 1.3 works out like i expect.

anyhow id thought id drop a cpl opinions on a cpl tracks.

Tepaphone had great sonic quality.

Lab was killin this. i like how you put vocals in background with that deep rev.

sova i dug the structure, sonic was good, and the change up was kool. just the drums. those drums imo have been killed by Dj E-Z rock. i just cant here em on anything else.

scumbeats its a trip to see how many people dig your stuff. its kool and all but you glitched it off beat so many times there is no tru rhythm. sonic is great. and sample flip is fresh but it left me confused at what is was i really listened to. {im probably jus to old}

obi i like the efx drops and panning good track.
