I'm still trying to improve and broaden the way I use my mpc.

I see that bass and drums outside of sample can be used but can other instruments be used as well? dope sample

really aint feelin the vibe of this sample - no damn breaks except for the intro the rest got some damn percussion shizz... but i flipped it anyways. cant wait!!!

thats the fun part!! flippin stuff you wouldnt normally flip.. that why i like these type of battles at least.

no real minimun time limit.. but i'd assume youd want to mess with it as much as possible

i'd agree with that... it's really nice to be restricted sometimes, or out of the comfort zone i should say.

this isn't something i would normally flip either but i'm quite hyped about that.

and yea, its still mad simple even without a clean break.. u can make a classic sounding hiphop beat from parts of the first 20 seconds even.

We've had a few entries already, but we're going to upload everything to soundcloud simultaneously on voting day.

ya nothing really stood out for me upon a first listen as far as loops go. i'll give it a shot though. i got some parts chops up already. probably the drums i put on will make or break this. we'll see how it turns out. hopefully i'll get it done before the deadline.

This is a hard nut to crack, an if everyone goes for the first 20 seconds of the track it's the easiest part to chop, but im goin for a different vibe on this sample, but it ain't easy with this one. i give props to es-k for this brutal battle mentality for the first round, this is no holds barred shit, an i love it. pzzzzzzzzzz.
