No doubt. I got wooden floors as well and got a small rug and it really helped for foot steps and the reflection. PROPS on the excellent work. It really looks professional, like if I you didn't post this thread I'd think some professionals did it, honest shit.

Yeah, foot steps is definitely the first thing I noticed. Thanks. I'm just hoping it sounds professional too!

Na, but in all seriousness this is one of the most impressive self made things I've seen. Now excuse me while i go set fire to my studio foam walk in closet of a vocal booth

Yeah man. A bunch of foam is the one thing I did not want. Plus I think it's actually cheaper or just as much to make the acoustic panels than it is to buy good foam. I may still add a few little small pieces here and there but that's it.

that foam crap doesn't do shit. you're on the right path with making some decent panels.

you need to take some measurements. freq plot and waterfall etc.

Day 33-34. Interior of the booth is just about done. Got the third ceiling panel done. Got the talk-back mic wired and installed. Got all the door, floor and corner moldings done. Got a small carpet coming in on Monday. And still have to put some treatments on the actual doors. Also, going to paint the ceiling lights back to white. But right now it's just about record ready. Me and Surg did a test recording a couple days ago and it came out great! Here's a few pics.

I bet it was your woman who put in that plug in air freshener... or was it??

What's the contrasting colour to the red on the ceiling? It looks navy in some shots and dark grey in others.

Lookin' good anyway H.

No, it was actually me. The insulation used in these acoustic panels smells like hot cow ass. Then multiply that by 9 and you have one smelly booth! Smelled awful in there!

Oh, and the ceiling is black. I guess the grain in the picture makes it look like that! Thanks bro!

Damn, I like how that red and black blends in and a dash of white. Looks real classy with the moldings and that door is pimpin' too. You did the color coordination? Its dope. I need to install a better door myself, something heavy and air tight. My walls though, are painted agua-purple, people always expect to see green, don't know why.
