Anything I could use to make the chassis on my 1k shine?

Hey everyone, this is my first post but i've been a reader for the last 3 years, since before I had the luck of finding my first mp for $200 (1k transformer). Anyway thanks to everyone, this forum has helped me immensely!

Ok so I got the blue and red 1k, I wanna start reviving and moding it. I love the color scheme as is honestly but I was wondering what I could use, if anything, to get that blue shining. I don't know much about these things so Im looking for specifics. I don't wanna buy something that'll **** up the paint. But i want it to shine or look brand new if possible. I know i could buy the blue casing off mpcstuff but they're out of stock and if I could save some money by buying some sort of wax or something, better. My last resort is getting it repainted with the same color scheme in candy paint...but I don't wanna lose the lettering, even though I know my MP like the back of my hand.

So, any suggestions?

When I painted my MPC500 to a white gloss, I first made a few scans and copies of the faceplate with the text on and then reversed the colors on the PC. So the black plate turned white and the texts turned black and blue.

Then I sanded off the factory paint-job and primed it with two coats, then finally painting it white giving it four coats (let each coat dry a full 24 hours) over a course of a week.

Then I bought a decal kit and decal paper (clear transparent kind) and printed the text on it and cutted each text word for word, number for number into little pieces and used the chemicals to stick them on. Its a tedious process but the final result looked like if the decal was part of the metal.

Or you can go to a screen printing place with your faceplate, have them scan it into their computers, then when you got the paint job ready, they can print the text back on. Thats a special order though and can cost around $250.00 dollars, but it'll look manufactured. My decal method was $30.00.

Yeah man, I believe I read this somewhere before in the last couple days...props. Anybody else got a suggestion as far as making the blue chassis shine?

sand off all your blue paint, buff the frame, and then clearcoat it

i need to take some better pics of my mpc, but here's a video where you can see the current look. it went from post apocalyptic to sophisticato. you can't really see the wooden sides but they're a silvery grey color (black virginian oak that's been underwater for a couple hundred years)
