That's the game changer right there. I was just reading the reviews from the original version, and some people were complaining about the lack of many features and the GUi looking outdated. The Pro version takes care of all that and then some. I'm looking forward to the release. $50 is hefty but worth it from what I see.

If you own a Mac, you can now sync your iOS device without using additional hardware via bluetooth or USB for free. I just tried it out with my Mac Mini running Reason with an Axiom 49 to control Waldorf Nave on my iPad. I'm glad I stumbled upon this post today from synthtopia because I just saved $100 by not buying the iConnect MIDI.

Since the USB ports of my Mac Mini are noisy, I decided to try out the bluetooth MIDI. But I had to update to Yosemite for it to work, and it works nice. I'm impressed with the low latency and not having to deal with the noisy connection. Now I can move the iPad around more freely. I'm in synth heaven with the iPad and Reason 7's EMI (External MIDI Instrument). I'm gonna experiment more, now that I'm upgraded and set up. I should be able to sync up my iPhone alongside of it or be able to sync the iPhone and the iPad on it's own (I think).

That's great news! I also was considering an iConnect device. In fact, I saw won on sale at Guitar Center a few weeks ago and almost pulled the trigger. Now I can just pay $10 and get the iMux package that includes audio and midi. I didn't know it also works over bluetooth. That makes it even better.

I haven't bought it yet. But the reviews got me sold. Near zero latency, and the audio signal is transmitted digitally like the iConnect MIDI. For $7, it's a no-brainer if you're a Mac user since you'll need to download and run the host software for it to work.

I also noticed Egoist is on sale until April 9th. For $10 off, I won't miss it this time.

I can't say this enough, don't sleep on caustic.. i use it on my android tab, but it is available on all platforms. iOS,mac,windows,android,linux..

I got Caustic on the with list with a few others. But I had to grab Egoist while it's on sale. I love the sound quality and the workflow. I also decided to buy Z3TA+ which I decided not to wait for a price drop. This synth kills everything... 6 oscillators, 6 envelopes, 6 LFOs, 2 filters, and tons of routing options. The GUI is also very easy on the eyes, and laid out for quick workflow.
