Hello fellas,
I'm able to buy an s900 sampler but as I see from the photos there must be a little problem, the door of the fdd is broken or doesn't exist. So it's worth buying this for about 140$ and have as sequencer my 2k classic?
Also what thing should I check or how to check them, for example the 8 outs or the midi
One more question, is the sampling process with s900 as fast as with mpc 2k, I'm asking that because with fast sampling process you don't loose your inspiration and creativity
Thanks in advance

make sure the floppy drive works because it's hard to replace.. however you might be able to put an hxc emulator in it.

it isn't as fast in my opinion as the 2000, but once you learn it and are used to it.. it isn't bad. the thing is, it has a lot of things you can do to the sample so...

the 8 outs comes stock.. you could check them if you want or if that is possible at the seller's house... and midi you can check which you plug a keyboard or mpd into it and try to trigger the tone program.

Can I check the outputs via headphones if the seller hasn't any cables and such?

i dont know... i suppose you could.. but honestly, look in the manual how to change sample programs to other outputs so you remember how once you are there.

the outs arent a thing i think really go wrong with them... if the mix output works the others will too most likely... if the thing turns on then you are usually good. fuzes blowing or other shit like that are more often a problem on 900s.. i have seen quite a few that wont even turn on period.
