CF reader installed and some problems... please help

Hi John,

I have installed a SCSI CF reader that seems to be a solution instead of AKSYS.

The internal SCSI drive is connected with the same double stripe as CF reader - should i change an ID? If yes how?

CF reader is a “hotswap” but it does not work as expected - always need to restart the sampler after ejecting the flash card.

Unfortunately i can’t get it work. The card is “locked” - a lock icon together with a disc icon.

I have even tryed to format the card formating takes loooooong…. few hours, endless and had to restart the sampler.

Could you help me?

ok, so i think problem is solved.
i have formatted a flash card on pc as FAT32 and now card is working - i can even hotswaping = no problem.

you probably shouldn't format things in akai samplers that aren't real hard disks, you should use Arrange instead.(does the S5000 still do that?)

I have formated using a PC, but you are right, there is something wrong with Akai formating. I have tried to format internal SCSI drive and it took ages. No luck.

Anyway, i can use CF card without any problems but I get a problem with internal drive... I get well known error "fatal exception" when closing an opened folder. Any advices?
