So I just snagged this baby from a friend, and although it's a great piece of gear I can't seem to load up WAV's from my library. It saves stuff if I record directly into it so I know the memory card works. I also formatted and placed the proper name on it. Everything seems to go right, I turn on the system and then the bank lights blink and "UAU" shows on up on the screen. I click on bank "C" and the record button is lit up. I then press the button and the screen flashes 100 then skips to 0. I figured that after that it would have loaded, but nothing. It's like everything goes exactly as it supposed to but with no results.

If this doesn't work I'm going to have to return because editing loops on the dang things seems impossible I always get audible clicks when the sample comes back round. Someone help me with either figuring out sampling better on this or putting samples on to this pleaseeeeeeee. All my samples are MPC 60 SND converted into WAV's and they work perfectly on my friends MPC 2500 too.

Record them into the machine, rather than copy to the card i guess

As for clicks, up your listening game and learn how to be a ninja with setting start and end points, its possible to do this without getting clicks.
To help me when i get stuck, i'll drop the sample in my MPC and trim it, work out the tempo, have a click track on count in only and start recording when the 2nd lick comes in, makes it easier to set the start point.
I use a sp202 so dont know if they are the same but im guessing they are fairly similar.
But for real, sit down with a turntable and a few records or some music source and practice, you think madlib was whinging about making loops on the 303?
