Tempting it is, but programming synths on an actual synth is more fun regardless if it's digital or analog. Also working in a hardware sampler environment with limitations brings a lot of new ideas for me.
This weekend I'm finally going to hook up my E-RM sync box to see if i can make my MPC60 work with live "jitter-free."
This is the crux of the hardware software debate. Limitation only comes from not having any musical background, not meaning you need to play lead violin in a symphony. The way I see it, software keeps adding gimmicks to further distract you from the music making. You can chop and sequence very well in a MV,or MPC(JJ) and not be distracted by the million options you have in software. The so-called limitations help you to put more effort into actually playing a really good bass line, all adding a guitar lick, or fine tuning your drums,instead of stuffing around with effect inserts, and eq's. However software shines as a multitracker
