I'v had a s3000i for years but, I broke it.
I bought a s3000xl recently to replace it - £150.
It doesn't sound like the older S3000 but, sounds good in it's own way.
Pretty much the same as my Mpc2000 in terms of what it makes a sample sound like.
Less murk and bottom end than the older model, those ones are pure bass and sound great but, they dont record much top end in a sample.
They excel at bass though.
The Xl is allright but, original s3000's are better if your a bass-head.
