Pretty dope. I buy it if I hadn't already snagged one. (and didn't have to pay duties and all that jazz to get it shipped to USA)

Not Brave enough to do it myself. But Id guess its not too difficult.

the screen on the 8000 was not great so this makes sense. If u have the 8800 probably not necessary tho.

I got an MV8000 for $250 a few months ago. But it came with a busted screen.

Dropped $150 for a replacement screen from MPC stuff.

I got a old 7inch video monitor maybe I'll give it a go if I get bored.

Yes, I saw that on reddit. The people whom already installed it, say its good but cheaply made and some died out in 2 months, others still running fine. One pointed out being made in China, it will not be to Roland standards, but if you really need a screen, it will do.

I have a MV8000 screen with dead backlight. No ugly green glow to light up what i'm seeing.

I either want to rig up a custom backlight (if feasible) or do a mod such as this. I have an external monitor but dont want to have to carry it around.

Other option is to mount a monitor on a swivel ball mount. I saw that mod somewhere but can't find it.
