Roland SP-404 mkII

Well…20th anniversary and the sp update is just serato integration? Dont get me wrong, looks like very neat integration but nearly everybody expected some cool new feats or at least refinements for their lil standalone sampler, nearly everyone is disappointed. Looks very strange for Roland to do this so i suspect something else is also on the pipeline and they want to surprise the crowd with this move… if not i think they will get an awful lot of backlash… mind this would be the first year with no major update for standalone sp users…again , looks really weird and in discontinuity with previous behaviour.

You assigned MIDI CC (transmit) to the [CTRL 1]–[CTRL 3] knobs.

Any idea what this means?
I was hoping it meant "You can assign MIDI CC..." but I can't find any settings regarding it and they still don't transmit. Have I missed something?

I upgraded from v4.05 straight to v5.00, would that make any difference? I mean surely all previous additions and fixes are added in the v5.00, aren't they? I really want the controllers to transmit MIDI!

EDIT: Just realised, it probably means you can transmit MIDI *TO* the SP404 not from! Arghh!

EDIT: No worries, you can't change assignment, but they do now work as MIDI controls for soft synths!

The Control Knobs send midi CC data out of the SP404 mk2 for control knobs 1-3 and control knobs 4-6 when in the second page of an effect.
