At the moment zero.
So you have a shop and promote B stuff on an Akai forum?
Sorry to say that, but it seems you are using this platform as a marketing platform for your shop and that brand.
I keep on using my Mackie and play my Akai and Roland.

What shop? :hmmm:

What marketing? :hmmm:

I’m a working class musician who owns a modest home studio and fortunately works full time as a producer and mixer at a popular studio here in Seattle and freelance at other studios here in Seattle, down in Portland, and occasionally Los Angeles, and Often up in Vancouver B.C. where I also co-own an independent label.

Show me a post where I’m selling and marketing music or music technology.

Just like many here, I’m passionate about music and the technology. It’s why I left my native New York to live in a real music city where real musicians breathe, eat and sh!t music.

Maybe you should go out more often, you’re more than welcomed to visit Seattle, we have lots to do here and more than enough clubs and restaurants where musicians play live here all the time, we are a major music hub after all.

I discuss whatever is currently interesting.

Behringer happens to have a very good social media game, they post something about their synths almost everyday because from what I‘ve read, they have 50+ new synth products on their slate.

It’s not my fault that your favorite brands can only afford to produce 1 or 2 new synths a year. Maybe if Korg made what people actually want at decent prices they could afford to release more products?

"A good number of my friends and clients who are all professional musicians own several Behringer synths and love them."
I thought clients meant your clients.
I am quite used to read about people who say they don't give a **** about trials and this sort of things.
Fine. Since they give me the chance to buy a cheap recreation of the synths of my favourite musicians, I am ok with that.
It's ok. I don't wanna start a debate about that because everytime I try to do it, they kick me out.
Just one thing: did you ask yourself why they are so cheap?
Anyway, I am still quite disturbed to enter a forum of Akai and read this B promoting thread.
Maybe it's just me so I stop it here.
And I think trends come and go while the real innovation keeps going anyway, if the good brands don't bankrupt before like it almost happened to Mackie as I said before.
Have a nice time and sorry for disturb.

When I say clients, I exactly mean my clients, as in people who pay me for my production and mixing services. It how I pay my mortgage, bills and eat daily.

Again, I invite you to remove your bias against Behringer.

The reason why their prices are so low is because Uli Behringer made very smart business moves and own the very same companies that your favorite brands have to buy parts from to assemble your new innovative products like Korg’s Wavestate.

Your Korg Wavestate has Behringer parts.

My MPC X, Maschine, and Arturia synths most likely have Behringer parts.

Behringer also owns an entire manufacturing city in China. Your favorite brands also manufacturer’s their products in China.

All the false anti-Behringer propaganda have been debunked and it’s mostly spread by people who are emotionally vested in brands who disrespect their own customers.

Roland is the most arrogant.

“We don’t chase analog ghosts”.

They just told all the people who buy their products “f u c k you, we don’t care what you want”.

Yet you’re making Behringer out to be the bad guys for giving the people what they want????

:hmmm:

No man, Roland is just building the future and they don't care about trends. Did you try their new Zen core? Do you need a 70s mono synth on 2020 after you try their new line of Zen Core?
So someone is keeping on investing in the future and try to push the border ahead, some is just taking advantage on a retro nostalgia.
We will see how it will go.
I am quite sure B is selling a lot to hobbysts and consumers who dream about putting hands on the synths that their idols used.
But at the time Moog came out, it was the top of innovation, something a Boog will never be able to obtain and here comes the lack of magic.
Then it doesn't make any sense if other brands are using B chips or whatever.
Roland makes its own chips by the way and they are very powerful.
Then I would like to suggest you to read what Midas pro users say about Midas after it was purchased by B. He just killed it.
Same for Tc electronics.
And take a look at Gearsluts, the electronic music forum is becoming a marketing platform of mr. Uli, who posts private emails of other manufacturers with name and family name to defend his own aggressive marketing.
It's just there is a war inside forums and nobody cares about it.
As I said before, I understand not many people want to follow what I write. At the end, if they give me a Moog for a fraction of the price, why should I complain?
If this is your point, I cannot say anything to you, it's your point of view and maybe you are right.
I just put myself problems that are useless, maybe.
Last thing. You say they work good but in forums I read many complains about bugs on sequencer, unpredictable problems and so on. And I read many people are angry because they preordered stuff that was promised to come soon but it's delayed more and more.
And sorry, i don't want to attack you but are you sure this is the right forum to put this thread about B products?

It's a sub-forum for "Other samplers, Beat Boxes and Synths"
That of course takes into account a fact that people have gear other than Akai.

........use the "Friend of Foe" feature.

You read like you're trying to censor me for your own narrative.

There is no trend, people have been asking Roland, Korg, and Yamaha to do analog reissues of their classic synths for nearly two decades.

This is how Roland's uninspiring AIRIA and Boutique lines, Yamaha's ReFace, and Korg analog reissues came about, except Roland and Yamaha completely missed the mark, and Korg did a half-a$$ed job in their efforts because they didn't listen.

Behringer was paying attention to Korg, Roland, and Yamaha customers.

Think about that, they listened to their competitor's customers and delivered the goods.

I've seen very little complaints and if I do it's something that someone who doesn't understand how analog synths actually works like this guy: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Behring ... 628383382/

You also have people who never even seen a real analog synth in their life, but think they know how they work because they use software versions or digital hardware like my Roland AIRA System-1 which is basically a physical plugin.

Real analog synth heads know how analog synths behaves, that's why I don't validate just anyone. My introduction to Behringer synths came because of professional musicians like Joe Doria showed me first hand how good the Model D is. He has both the original Moog MiniMoog and the Behringer Model D and sound exactly alike. That's what led me to buy my Model D and other Behringer synths.

My Behringer K-2 sounds exactly like my Korg MS-20 Mini. The knobs and switches on all my Behringer synths are great and the only noise I get is white and pink noise. I've never experienced tunning problems or any issues of any sort, they just work as they should.

I don't worship any particular brand, if something is made good and sounds great, that's what I care about, if the price is great that makes it all the better. Right now Behringer and Arturia are making the most interesting synths at the right prices.

And this is the "Other Samplers, Beat Boxes, and Synths" section of the site. It's okay for us to discuss any brand here....

That's your opinion.
My opinion is that Roland and Korg are making the most interesting ones.
And they make it because they don't care about people request but at the opposite they offer something that could change their way of playing, as it was with all the synths before.
But to each its own.

Outrage sales units. When a company starts releasing all kinds of gear, at extra low prices. They are going upset a whole bunch of people. My theory is, don't personally attach yourself to any brand. If the tool is good use it, if the tool is bad don't use it.

I just see something strange with all these people defending that brand so much and promoting it everywhere they can.
And what about this posting a commercial issue to the public?
Don't you find it disturbing?

They're extremely active on music sites. Perhaps, they're gearing up to enter the consumer home market. I say focus on what tools work. I don't care who makes it. If it sucks, it sucks. If its good then it good. I've tested those $25 US guitar pedals from Behringer and they work well. Tried other things and I passed.

The worst thing a company can do is, release a product and not promote it. Behringers, strategy only works if they keep the prices low, have a high output, and high sales numbers.
