Dude... please. Stop rubbing it in.
I watched this video a few times years ago.
I'd rather just forget now until I have one in my possession.
Ya dig

addition: Alan Braxxe came waaay later than my influences for wanting an SP1200, but still, I absolutely adored his track and was not surprised one bit when I found out that he had used an SP1200 to make it. It just adds on to a long list of tracks I love that I have subsequently found out were made on the SP1200.
I've been wanting this machine since it was born.

I guess he got them from Forat. They are from the Linn9000 and Forat serviceing these machines since the 80s so they had spare parts. Who would rip a Linn 9000 for a SP1200 ? (ok, I probably would cause my love for the SP is bigger :D)

I dont know.. I think it must have been one of those available options that various gear makers probably had.. maybe they had a catalog or something to choose from? And on the sp1200 are they velocity sensitive too?

I think i've seen different things with buttons like that... the oberheim dx looks like it might have them.. though I never saw one of those in person.. and I think I once saw one of those old 80's cable boxes with buttons like that but that is going from a memory that is from 20 years ago.. maybe some old phones might have had them too? (im talking about the plastic moulding in these cases.. not the mechanism inside)

Yes, and it's the first thing I turn off for general tinkering on my SP-12. I don't know how they've lasted for the best part of 30 years with how hard you need to hit them.

that auction did not even come up in my own search results.

I think ebay's filtering sucks.

Update on my deal.
I got a tracking number so hopefully she'll arrive before the weekend

Just jumped up from 25 hours weeks to 45 so not the best timing, but I guess I could use the extra money to buy some gear :smoker:

This is how she's supposed to look, hopefully it'll be the same when i get it!

There are more reissues than OG's out there, there are more reissues for sale than OG's. Dont take this the wrong way, but are you buying an SP-1200 or a power supply? My point is, the power supply should not be the deciding factor. It's not really that big of a deal. Your preference may well see you go empty-handed for a long long time.

But if I spot one, I'll let you know.
