Low Hiss eSPi1200 could possibly win the modern SP-1200 war.

It's all about Shock, Fear, Drama, Controversy, and Outrage. People love it. Tribe and Pharcyde did not promote those things. But NWA, Biggie, and Too Live Crew did. Just like Motley Crue and Ozzy Osbourne did.

But as far as the LOW HISS's ESPI1200, there will be people how hate it, because its not the "Real Thing". The more hate he gets, the sales he'll get.

I do enjoy some, don’t get me wrong but there is a world of difference from the tribe called quest or pharcyde I was into as a kid and the keep their heads ringing East vs west gang culture they marketed on a whole different level that seemed to kill all that off.

Not sure why but trash sells. Around that time they were really pumping jerry springer/ Maury type entertainment.

Well, I only had a og sp-1200 for a few months and really couldn’t vibe with it compared to the price.

I could only make beats within the sp itself as it did not mesh well with newer gear in terms of sound.

Ironically I had a emax rack that I could get to sound good with the live but it was it was patches the furthest away from that grit on sp. actually the closest I’ve come replicating the sp sound was on a emax but sp could just ring out samples a lot of times in unexpected ways.

Front what I hear this app seems close enough for me, the sp-2400 is in that same ball park. Haven’t “studied” the sound amongst them but they really do seem close enough. The big tell will be how stuff sounds after sampling into them. It differed from the emax that everything sampled into the sp just exploded with sound, not always for the better I might add.

I know I’m no OG or even really put together much on the sp but I have owned one, have tried to make tracks and have tried out a ton of other gear. Glad I flipped mine for a profit while I did. I knew something like this was around the corner.

That s950 Dac plug-in was the writing on the wall for me.

I listen to radio stations from all over world and they mostly play Trap and more electronic sounding rap, they are not playing that raw dog, go for yours, boom bap rap.

Boom bap is not the global standard of hip hop, it's whatever is hot, and boom bap is not hot, but I believe it will be hot again thanks to the resurgence of the SP-1200.

The sound it produces will inspire a change in how new music is created and that will inspire young beatmakers to create something fresh and new, something that they can claim as their own rather than being carbon copies of the legends of yesteryear...

Have you toured foreign countries and lived in their musical culture? If your only experience is Radio and the internet, then there's no way you understand. Go to Cuba, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Germany, UK, South Korea, Philippines, its striving.

Nevertheless, how do you plan to incorporate the eSP1200 into your setup?

Yes, I have toured before and I will be touring with one of the bands I'm producing as their DJ.
I plan using the ESPI the same way I use the RX-950 plugin, as a sound design tool, to get a specific sound.
That classic SP-1200 aliasing effect is all I need and I'm good to go...

No, that was work they done with another producer, I'm taking them down a darker rare breaks vibe with a dirtier sound and feel, I predict DJ Premier is gonna want to sample the album I'm producing for AfroCop for the next PRyme album when I personally gets it in his hands first...

Of course We have music, and yes, my synth collection along with Noel’s and Andy’s synths as well a few borrowed synths and keys from Joe Doria are on the new record, but we’re not putting anything from the new album online yet.

We’re doing a proper release on vinyl, cassette, and streaming, and I’m also directing several music videos for the project.

This is a very exciting and important art music project for me personally, but working with really great musicians who are open minded to exploring new ideas and willing to spend the time and energy to get the sound and feel right makes the creative journey worth it...

I could, but I much rather not, for the key reason that I'm not seeking any attention here, and uploading my music is not conducive to the main topic which is Low Hiss ESPI-1200 and the SP-1200 clone wars.
