the racks are basically self explanatory there's no sequencer. only mapping which can be done through midi just hit the midi button on the key range screen
assigning effects is self explanatory
theres an extract feature in the sample edit screen somewhere its hidden (well thats what i thought when i was starting to use it)

Edit: damn that took to long to write on my phone haha

vinyl_junkie_1620 has some good videos up:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfCgnN03Feg chopping

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNif_Iexr-Y multi samplin pt 1

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_UfA6BSa5s multi samplin pt 2

unlike a lot of sampling "tutorials" on youtube he actually shows you what he's doing (not just what it sounds like!) and explains it well

I have an S3000 and in my manual i read where there is also an option to eq samples. The option it says to press is not available on screen. I did see that it was from an older OS (i think 1.5, and i have version 2.0 installed). So i figured maybe the eq option was not available on the newer OS. If someone has info on this it would be helpful. thanks

Marc The Drummer wrote:Someone used an AKAI s2800? Does it sound like an mpc 2000?

The 2800 is a slightly cut down S-3000, I used to have one. It sounds like a 3000 cos it's basically a 3000 inside but less options

OK im stuck.

I am trying to put a 36 GB Hard drive in my s6000...

I wired it in, even added a separate power switch so it does not spin constantly...

I cant get it to read.

It says: fatal exception on scsi ID 0, which is the drive.

Is this a SCSI Device conflict?

should I change the device ID to 5 or something?

I know once I get it formatted, it will read just fine, but even when I boot with the HD not plugged into the scsi cable, then plug it in while it is on, and go to disk screen to format, it does the same fatal exception screen. any Ideas?

Thanks in advance.

is that drive compatible with it? you might wanna be sure by checking the drive chart. yeah also play with the scsi i.d.# especially if you have an external drive connected to it.
