Ok then. Thank you very much. I am glad I asked. What route would you recommend instead? You were saying something about using CF with an asr? I never heard of this before.

whats the secret to sequencing and getting a good work flow.

at this point i'm just making seq's every single time and just add on top of them as i copy to the next seq. if i need a break i just start a new seq.

i ant get a good work flow like my other machines, any tips or ideas?

i was checking this post and correct me if im wrong but, you have an eps 16 correct..?
i work with the ASRX different machines I know but still a b@## to get things going but i've found ways to get around it...

could you clarify by making sequences every time?
is it that you have to play a sequence each time for
intros(a) main(b)hooks(c)...etc...?

i remake a new sequence so if i wanted that what you fomulated there i make three different sequences then repeat as wanted on the song mode,right?

i build my seq with how every many tracks as i need to build what i like could be 3 tracks per sequence or more.
i guess the time sig makes the difference.i'm using 4/4 @ 1/4note.

i dont know how different that is then the asr10,but thats how ive been learning my EPS ther pretty close from what i have seen thats why ive been watching those videos they come up as asr10 aswell.

i'm just trying to figure out another process i guess, of work flows, i just cant get a groove with it get. it took me 10 years to figure out the mpc2kxl and that i learned alot by myself,ive been trying this one ,but what do you expect falling to the ways of the nubie again hahaha

Oh so it that you are designating the amount of tracks you need per sequence before laying stuff down ?

Hmm if that's the case i can see why it may be frustrating...hahahah let me know if I got the right idea yet brotha....

no , i guess what i'm asking is ,is there another way to make the same sequence,besides having to copy the params?...everytime i do, and change something in the new seq,it affects all the seq's the same way,like i just added a piano and i want it mute in the 3rd seq ,i turn it off and seq1-2 have it turned off.i dont want that.

thats why i just build a different seq from start again,but then i have to replay all the parts,


have you messed with the envelopes yet, i need to shorten the end of my sample but not from the wav screen thats to trim the sample,i dont want the long tail end, i need to shortenthe decay so it loops properly.

anything you want "muted" has to be first copied to new sequence, then overdubbed over in destructive record mode... ie record instead of add.


that takes the notes out.


the mute screen is global.

edit env 3 for decay. play with it.

besides... sequence with your mpc.

easier.

right now i want to learn nothing but the EPs the sequencer in this is pretty cool easy to make songs the hard part is gettingt eh seq made.
oh yeah the 1/4note is another thing i foundout that fixed that loop problem.
after changing it to 1/16note it stopped this poppin sound and abump of the bpm

i guess to record i use the 1/4 note it makes the metronome slower

the click quarter note is different than the command track quantize to 16ths
