Its a good alternative if you want grimey drums.
Its alot cheaper than an SP12 and its not a hassle to use.
Actually its pretty easy.
If you go for an 202 or 303 then the best way of using it is sampling your drums there on lo-fi and then sampling them back to your 16bit sampler (the best choise is an MPC2000XL which is a neutral kind of sampling compared to SP12, EPS etc...)
