Probably because the Massive patches will be installed in the NI shared sounds folder by default and Maschine looks there without being told.

For the drum kits and the whole library to show up properly make sure that the install location is selected in your user paths in preferences. Or if it already is re-scan.

Any review or feedback from you on the Drop Squad kit; or any one else have recommendations for the other kits available for Maschine?

Conant Gardens is excellent. But the sounds are so useable from jump that you have to tweak a bit to move from the (obviously purposeful) Dilla/Amp sound of it. But great sounds overall.

I also have Transistor Punch and Vintage Heat. Both are solid, definitely worth today's 50% off prices.

Yeah at 50% off I figured I had to grab something and give it a try. I still got a voucher for $30 from purchasing my Maschine to use on one and may have to try some others I was also contemplating the Traktor software at about $45. Doing some research on it now because I don't know much about it.

Traktor for $45 is tempting.

These might help if you haven't already seen them -

These aren't reviews. Flux302 is doing overviews. But you get to hear it in a context more useful than the NI website demos.

Flux302 also just made his own Maschine expansion that was obviously a labor of love and I'll be getting when I get a little dough in the future.

Great thanks. Those are good and I watched the ones for True School and Conant Gardens too. Really liked the soul of Conant Gardens and may go that route.

as for DJ software I already have the M Audio Torq which does the same thing pretty much as Traktor but I was thinking Traktor might be set up to work better with Maschine. I am new using to software so I really appreciate all the info.
