Yo guys.
Few days ago i recevived my s3000 sampler and i love it's sound. It still is a little bit pain in ass when it comes to making a beat so here are my questions:
1.Is it possible to send 16 lvls pitch from mpc to sampler? I've tried it and nothing happens. If not, is there a better way to set up bass than making every note in chromatic order?
2.Is there a way to resample with filter internally?
3.How do you have your programs set?
I made 4 programs named bank A,B,C,D and I have 16 keygroups in every program set to notes on my mpc eg:
Pad A1 = bank A keygroup 1
Pad B12 = bank B keygroup 12
etc.
Doing some edition is not as fast as i thought, so is there better way to set my sampler?
Peace

1. Just make a keygroup with the bass and set the range of notes and the root note.
3. Just an example:

    create 3 programs
name them differntly A: DRUMS, B: BASS, C: CHOPS
create as many keygroups as you want in A and C, create just one keygroup in B
set the programs to different MIDI channels 1, 2 and 3
set the keyrange of the keygroups in A & C to just 1 note and in B to the whole keyboard range (as mentioned above)
Save this bank without any sounds (I dont know if you need samples in there to create keygroups. If so use a dummy short sample in all keygroups)
I dont know if this is possible but you can try to set the keygroups in C to play mono mode so every chop stops the chop before. RTFM for that :) I don't have a s3000 so IDK if this function is there

This is your bank preset now. You can load it always when you start to making a beat

then use the MIDI channel setting on each track of the MPC to control which program the track shall play.

I recommend to also create a program on the MPC where the pads are in chromatic order (PAD A1 = notenumber 35, PAD A2 = notenumber 36 etc).

peace

Completly forgot about different midi channels lol :D
