Internal SCSI in Akai S1000 and Roland S750

I'm trying to find out a solution to fitting an internal HD, or a good CF card reader/writer in the drive bay, into my Akai S1000 and Roland S750.

I've been through hundreds of forum posts and web pages over the past few weeks and my head is hurting.
I'd like to hear from people with those machines that have working solutions/drives, thanks.

If anyone can point me towards a usable drive in Europe, that is in stock, I'd be grateful.
Is the PCD-50, PCD-47, PCD-25 fully compatible? Problem is that they cannot be found in stock anywhere.
I know of the Acard U772..whatever.. but does it work properly in these machines?

Aztecmonster looks an interesting prospect, but I've yet to hear any confirmed reports of successful installations. Keeping an eye on that one myself. Don't know much else about upgrading S1000 or S750 never having had either to play with.

Yes that's an option m8. I'm just trying to cut down on the amount of plug sockets I'm filling, plus it'd be nice and neat to have internal goin on.

Currently I'm working on a track where the S1000 requires 6 floppies and my S750 needs 4. It's not a massive hassle, but it'd be good to finally find a good CF solution.

I've written about both of these on the big scsi for sampler gs thread.. as well as others.
I'd recommend going the ext. scsi route.... as when you add new samplers to the stable, it's nice to just use an existing ext. drive with it.... not economical to stick cf drives into every sampler, and who knows when these drives will all start failing.
You can also get a SCSI switcher to use one scsi cf device between all samplers.

The pcd60b will work for the s1000, internal or ext.
750 I'm not sure, I only tested an ext. mounted 47b with my 770, that worked fine.
I'd guess an acard 7720 solution will prob work for the 750/770 too.... as it does for the s1000/1100 etc.
