Asr-10 saving issues

Hey guys!

Very used to the MPC way of saving things, and now I've lost my third beat on the asr-10, frustrating!
I've googled and been reading, but don't know if something is lost in translation for me cus I don't get it!

Do I have to save each "bank" separate? In that case how?
Save currant sequence?

Been looking in the mNual, but it's not that great.
Wold be so thankful if some one sort this out with me.

Save the individual instruments first, one by one (Command + Instrument -> SAVE INSTRUMENT); then save your song with sequences (Command + SeqSong -> SAVE SONG + ALL SEQS) and then save the bank in the end (Command + Instrument -> SAVE BANK). Finito. To load, the only thing you just need to do is to load the bank and the song. P.S. There is a limit of 38 files per folder (directory).

It doesn't need to be a manual problem if you don't understand it. ASR manual is just great. In fact, it might actually be one of the best musician manuals ever written, period. Do yourself a favor and do your homework properly: RTFM, do proper Google search (even the 1st page deliver enough threads for your answers) and you won't be disappointed. Regards

Man, thanks ALOT! I obviously need to step my google game up, couse I seriusly didn't find what I was looking for.

Theres a lot of stuff about the ASR-10 that you might not have any luck finding on Google.

Good answer right there. I have a SCSI interface but don't have the SCSI board installed so I'm stuck here using floppies Super frustrating because they constantly give the "FILE CORRUPTED" error and I just lose all my sounds. I don't save things anymore, I just work on something and immediately record it into ProTools, track by track.

Yea, it sucks. I manage to save and load sounds every time, but there is never enough disc space to save the whole beat. So, now i save on 2 floppies.

yeah exactly. an instrument containing just one sample will usually require at least two disks, sometimes way more. and then half the time they won't load next time you try to use them. i've given up on that haha, its 2015 i shouldn't have to deal with that shit. its all good, i don't really mind recording everything to the computer when i'm done with it. although it would be cool to be able to return to instruments i make. oh well
