Akai S900 vs. S1000 vs. 1100?

As you can see subject. Wants to know your opinion when it comes to difference in a sound between these. I know that S900 ram is not expandable and that is limited. I know that S900 is 12-bit and the other twos are 16-bit. There is no effects integrated in S900 and S1000 like its in S1100. All three of them comes with additional outputs i think. But when it comes to sound whats your opinion on these? What about filters and effects if have? Peace and thank you in advance.

time stretch is a big deal too... considering the sound of it has been in loads of music over the years.

by the way... if you need more ram on an s900... either get more s900 units or go with the s950 which can hold something like 2mb.

Mistamoon, in my opinion you should not give a f_ck about the effects on a sampler.

You're going to be importing the beats you make into your computer anyway, and the effects available in plugins are 1000000 times better than the effects you can get on the S1100.

S900 is mono, vs 1000 and 1100 which are stereo.

s900 has a grittier sound i imagine than the others because of it being 12 bit.

I own a S900 and a s1100. They are both great sounding machines. If you are a beginner with rack mount samplers, I'd recommend purchasing a s900 and learn it's old school interface and key group layout, then move on to the s1000 which has a little higher learning curve due to the extra features.
As far as sound goes, the s900 does have the ability to make drums and percussive samples knock REALLY hard. The filters are amazing.
The s1000 and s1100 have a ridiculous amount of sounds available, and pretty cheap.
