As some of you probably are interested in hardware samplers, this might interest you.

I did a little sampler sound comparison between some of the hardware samplers I own.
What I did was I sampled a break into them first at the original pitch. Then it was transposed by +7 semitones in Ableton Live (no warping) and transposed back by -7 in the sampler, and in the last version that was transposed by -12 in the sampler.

Read a bit more about it and hear the sounds in my blog: http://fanumusic.com/a-little-sampler-shootout/

I hope you like it (and I hope this makes more peeps get into samplers)

very nice. thanks.
Fanu would you do me a favor and sample that drumloop on the Emu with different settings again? I would like to hear it really sped up and tuned down again. Would be nice if you could speed it up 2 octaves in ableton, sample it at 22kHz in the Emu and then tune it down 2 ocatves.

peace
