So 20 years ago, I got an S2000 brand new that came with 4 disks with some sounds on them. Nothing too fancy, they were some basic programs, but they were more usable than the ones that came with the MPC 2000 for example.
I was wondering if anyone still has these. I have mine, but they're locked up in a storage unit 3000 miles away in NYC, and I probably won't be able to get them back anytime soon.
But also, cats who were around back in those days might remember that Akai would occasionally post new disks on their website to download for free, with things like pianos, strings & basses! Even though the programs were under 2mb to fit on one diskette, I remember these sounds being very useful. Does anyone happen to have these?? Long shot for sure on this one. I still have all these but they're also locked up in the unit.
Did a few searches but couldn't come up with anything. Does anyone at least remember if these sounds were actually decent or is nostalgia kicking in?
