I recently found on my hard drive some old mv0 files I made from the Korg S3 drum machines preset sounds, + the rare and hard to find dance card sounds. If I recall correctly (this would have been around 10 years ago), i sampled the whole lot directly into the MV8000 using the auto sample feature, so they likely need truncating/normalizing.
I don’t have my MV anymore, so was wondering:
Are there any current MV owners on here who could be bothered to extract these sounds as wavs for me?
The reward for your troubles is of course that you will also now have the excellent sounds from this early 90’s drum machine. I haven’t seen these sounds commercially available anywhere.
The S3 was never popular, as the sequencer is horrible, and it was competing with the Roland R-70 and Yamaha RY30 which are super easy and fun to program.
