hi, just purchaed an Akai IB-S508P 8 Channel Output Board to increase the number outputs on my S5000 to 16. unfortunately there is no output from channels 7-16. i have changed the routing to test channels 7-16 but no go.
i just piggybacked the ribbon cable on the expansion board to the stock board below it. most of the boards i have seen online have only one socket - for the ribbon cable.
mine has an additional two sockets with a cable that looks similar to the one on the standard 8 out board that ships on the S5000 as standard. although the standard board has only one socket with red & white wires that go the the main volume board on the front panel.
did i get the right board? it does has IB-S508P printed on the board. where am i meant to connect the short red & white cable to?
