Ensoniq EPS 16+ R - change instruments & MIDI KB playback

Hi,
When I sample something on Intrument 1 then another one on 2, it will only playback #1(red) even though #2 is selected (yellow).
My question is what can prevent an instrument from being played with the midi keyboard while selected?
(Rack version)

Hope there's some Ensoniq heads around

hit edit/system.midi then select midi in mode and change from omni to multi, i think.
anyway, change the settings in the midi in mode till it works.

glad to hear that worked. i used to have those instructions on a post-it note stuck on my asr10 rack.
