FOCUSrite / novation / sequential /

That’s a lot of good products all under 1 umbrella. INMUSIC better watch out ;-) I don’t own a TEMPEST only b/c I have a rule against “collecting.”

2 things I get from this. 1 being fuuuuuck nooooo. good luck getting any timely updates, especially Apple M1 users, myself included. Second thing is great, maybe economies of scale and development could see the price point of Sequential (circuits) gear get cheaper. hmm. win win? win lose? lose lose? time will tell

A “REAL” dave smith/sequential is made somewhere in the YAY area.
Until they change this, I doubt the prices will go down much.

There are plenty of “affordable synths,” FOCUSrite please do NOT dilute this brand.

BTW no the subject of "affordable synths" – I was checking out a used novation circuit for my son. He’s turning 6 soon & I think he will dig the lights. Never 2 early to start an addiction ;-)

I’m not so confident in this one.

Focusrite has a tendency to be fickle.

Remember that little virtual headphone monitor?

They dropped the development of that product in less than a year’s time of its initial release.

I also heard that their tech support isn’t exactly the best, but then again no one is winning any awards in that area these days…

VRM Box. I still have it, I still occasionally use
it. The only „interface“ (measly S/PDIF in, 6.3mm HP out) that never has caused any trouble for me and even runs on almost every newer OS.

And my other Focusrite interfaces still work. I am still happy with the quality they provide. Good stuff, and a good customer service.

Have you seen the Focusrite RED line or any of their 'real' products like their consoles? Focusrite aint exactly a 'low-end' brand. They just happened to start making stuff normal people could afford a few years back along with their regular lineup.

While I am not familiar with there whole product family, novation certainly has my respect.
The BS2 is 1 of my favorite mono synths. I swear by the 2 filters in that machine. I like the AIR filter but nothing is like the real thing.
