I figured out somewhat how to MIDI sync my MPC2000XL to S900 aka the cables and connection, but I can’t figure out how to put the sound on a single pad from the S9 to the XL as everybody else is figuring out how to. The manual isn’t clear enough and there’s almost no videos for this specifically and so I’m practically at a dead end. I’m a bit frustrated and am fiending to get familiar with this thing and make some ill tracks. Please help and if possible by anybody, please help step by step.

Word, thanks yo.

this is for an s300 but the idea is similar for th e900, I think,

So you don't have to go over this process everytime you sample, you can make a template and just open that and drop you samples into the slots. To make a template, do the above for all 16 pads assigning root note and upper and lower range as the same, but without any sample in it and save this program. Then next time you wan to start sampling, open this program and drop each sample into a slot.
