S950 no sound while recording samples

When I sample with my s950 there is no sound but its shows audio levels in the threshold. After I get out of the sample screen I can hear what I sampled. I'm using the individual output 1.

Do you get anything on mix?

Did you turn MONITOR on?

EDIT: Sorry, I shouldn‘t interfere. I‘ve used a S950 like 15 years ago and I can‘t actually remember whether I just recall the Z4, Z8, S3000 or S950 from back then.

It worked on mix what does this mean? is that just how its designed?

The S950 plays all samples to mix, I believe odd assigned samples to left, and even assigned samples to right. Only samples assigned to play out of 1 will play out to 1, 2 out to 2, etc...

I may have the exact details wrong, but it's worth reading the manual.
