Flux 302 on the case. @5:00, it's iPad 4 only.

It probably depends on the iOS on the iPad also. Akai is going to have to feveriously update the FLY's OS to stay current with the constant iOS updates.

I'm looking for news on this too. getting ready to purchase an ipad, and I'm considering a Ipad3 for this reason. Apparently the ipad 4 uses an 8pin connector, but the ipad 2 & 3 had a 30 pin. The MPC Fly is made for the 30 pin connector. It's all on if they want to do a hardware change or not, and the profitability of manufacturing both 30pin and 8pin versions. How many of the 30pin versions they already have produced plays a big role too. I assume it's not an easy business decision for Akai, but since the 30pin ipads are no longer being produced it would only make sense to change production over to an 8pin version and stop production on the 30pin. Of course they have no idea of knowing how many 30pin ipad users will want the hardware.

sorry I brought up an old topic. but in case anyone else is looking into this, I've just seen on Akai's site FAQs that they plan a release for the new Ipads.

"The MPC Fly 30 supports iPad 2 and iPad 3rd Generation. Akai Professional plans to release a lightning-connector-compatible MPC Fly version in the near future. "
