Discuss Akai's iOS apps iMPC & iMPC Pro

Hi Guys

I've just started using iMPC on my iPad (latest update) and I'm stuck on one thing. I'm using the iMPC pads to trigger sound effects when playing with my band - such as rain and thunder effects.

On the main iMPC panel, the pads are simply labelled Pad 1- Pad 16. How do I change the name of each pad so I can quickly see which sound I am triggering? If I have samples loaded onto all 16 pads, it would be a nightmare trying to remember which pad triggers which sound !

thanks in advance

If you press the little icon (looks like a pen or something) to edit the current program it will display the pads with a name that you can edit.

While you are in the edit screen you can still trigger the pads.. that should work for you I think?

..seems like support around here is really poor I've still had no answer to my topics.

Hi
Thanks for that reply.
Yes, I had noticed the edit screen. But I was worried that I might accidentally change something unintentionally.

It seems like a pretty obvious enhancement to the app, and probably quite easy for the programmers to add. Even if they don't want to offer a full text rename feature, even being able to change the colour of the pads would be useful.

This site has zero connection to Akai. Although you often get less responses or just stock PR answers at the official site like, "We'll look into that, thanks for your support!"

I have found no way to disable the metronome either.

But this app won't even let you make a folder so after a short while with it I just go with the assumption that if an MPC had a feature 15-20 years ago this app probably doesn't...

One of the most disappointing apps in iOS history. Beatmaker 2 absolutely crushes it on every single level.
